AI & Data Engineering Consultant - Energy & Utilities

Location: UK-based

For a UK-based Consulting partner, we are seeking an experienced AI & Data Engineering Consultant to design and deliver production-grade AI and data solutions for clients across Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure and asset-intensive industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver GenAI, LLM, RAG and agentic AI solutions.

• Build scalable Azure data platforms, data pipelines and data products.

• Develop semantic models, ontologies, knowledge graphs and information architectures.

• Deliver AI agents, automation, analytics and Power BI solutions.

• Integrate enterprise, engineering, asset and operational data.

• Take AI solutions from strategy and architecture through development, deployment and MLOps.

• Work with business and technical stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Skills

• Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and AI agents

• Python and machine learning

• Data engineering, ETL/ELT and data integration

• Azure cloud and modern data platforms

• Power BI and analytics

• Semantic data modelling, ontologies and knowledge graphs

• MLOps and production AI delivery

• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills

Industry Experience

Experience in Energy & Utilities, Infrastructure, Engineering, Asset Management or other asset-intensive/regulatory environments is highly desirable.
