Here at ARM we are recruiting for a full time permanent Principal Pre-Sales Consultant for a global IT services and consultancy client of ours.

Overview:
Our client is a technology services provider; supporting its customers through the complex lifecycle of their assets from acquisition through to retirement, including supply of all the resources required to consult, support and project manage throughout the journey. They offer provision of a comprehensive range of skilled and experienced personnel, covering short term tactical engagements through to long term strategic projects and managed services.
Leveraging strong technical experience within modern enterprise technologies the successful candidate will be able to articulate the business value that these can bring, and challenges they can solve. The role requires an understanding of the skills and associated effort required to deliver solutions and support the creation of cost models aligned to the services being offering. The Principal Pre-Sales Consultant will work with our internal sales team, partners, practices and clients to support opportunities from qualification through to closure and support our clients ability to achieve booking and revenue targets.
The Principal Consultant is recognised as a thought leader and mentor to the customer as well as the internal team. The Principal Consultant is responsible for the high-quality delivery of Consultancy to deliver proposals and statements of work on behalf of us to the customer and works with the Sales and Delivery teams to ensure commercial and technical governance within the sales process while meeting client objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding customer requirements and translating those into technical solutions & services
- Creation of Proposals, Statement of Works backed up by effort profiles and commercials
- Able to manage client relationships and build consensus and trust in our clients capabilities
- Coach others on client agenda and customer ownership
- Support multiple engagements with multiple customers
- Present our clients services to customers demonstrating experience and understanding
- Support proposition development through technical and commercial content
- Provide subject matter expertise
- Support sales related financial goals
- Ensure proposals and statements of work follow internal governance to ensure operational acceptance for delivery
- Articulate the value of our client and their services to solve customer problems
- Consulting Craft: Demonstrate proficiency within areas of subject matter expertise, written/verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and delivery
- Identify efficiencies and anticipate/resolve potential problems within solutions, working with internal delivery and the customer
- Design, perform and oversee key areas of analysis and technical decision-making. Guide overall technical/functional approach
Experience:
- Successful Presales delivery, including technical, resourcing and commercial specification of major projects
- Core skills and experience in modern technologies including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence, Migration, Data Centre & Cloud technologies and Managed Outsource Services
- Strong design capabilities (medium to large engagements) - Understanding of Technical Design Authority as well as project governance and managed service (ITIL) methodologies
- Ownership of Presales engagement
- Strong understanding of markets, opportunities and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations and demos to end customers and employees
- Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus
- Structured problem solving and analytical skills
- Collaborative working style encompassing all delivery disciplines
- Able to lead real and virtual teams to reach a common end goal
- Provide technical mentoring
- Experienced professional services/technical consultant to deliver Presales engagements
- Proven experience as a successful Presales consultant instilling customer confidence
- Experience in developing solutions based on modern enterprise technologies (Cloud services / SaaS / PaaS /Micro Services / Serverless, device management)
- Understanding of AI & related technologies (Language models, Machine Learning, GPU Clustering, Orchestration & Containerisation) would be advantageous
- Demonstrable technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions
- Demonstrable Service Design and Project Governance skills and experience
- Project facilitation ensuring delivery of services set up in line with customer's needs
- Demonstrable ability to work in to CIO/IT Director level.
- Manage workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation.
- Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to customers
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent technical experience / qualifications
- Demonstrable knowledge of Artificial Intelligence solution concepts
- Core platform and Operating Systems expertise and experience
- Experience in Data centre & cloud technologies and techniques
Demonstrable experience in some or all of the following core technology components-
